Cashew Gum Polysaccharide Nanoparticles Grafted with Polypropylene Glycol as Carriers for Diclofenac Sodium

This investigation focuses on the development and optimization of cashew gum polysaccharide (CGP) nanoparticles grafted with polypropylene glycol (PPG) as carriers for diclofenac sodium. The parameters affecting formulation was performed using a central composite rotatable design (CCRD). It demonstrated that best achieved when 10 mg CGP mixed μL PPG homogenized at 22,000 rpm 15 min. physicochemical characterization evidenced efficiently entrapped, increases in thermal stability drug were observed. CGP-PPG@diclofenac showed globular shape, smooth surfaces, hydrodynamic diameter around 275 nm, polydispersity index (PDI) 0.342, zeta potential −5.98 mV. kinetic studies release followed an anomalous transport mechanism, sustained up to 68 h. These results indicated CGP-PPG are effective material loading/release drugs similar structures
